Terms of Service

Tasuku Inc. · Effective August 18, 2026 · Version 1.0

These terms cover the Tasuku AI receptionist service and this website. They are meant to be read, so they are written in plain English rather than the usual fog. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you sign up rather than after.

1. Who this agreement is between

"Tasuku", "we" and "us" mean Tasuku Inc., a federal Canadian corporation with its registered office in Ontario, Canada.

"You" means the business that subscribes to the service. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are confirming you are allowed to bind it.

These terms apply from the moment you subscribe, and also to anyone simply browsing this website or chatting with Aiko on it.

2. What the service is

Tasuku answers your business telephone with a bilingual AI receptionist. It picks up around the clock in English or French, finds out who is calling and why, takes a message, and sends you a summary by email — and, where you have configured it, transfers calls to a person, sends a text message, or books an appointment.

Calls are recorded and transcribed. Every caller is told, before the conversation begins, that they are speaking with an AI assistant and that the call may be recorded. How we handle that information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

3. Emergencies — please read this one

Tasuku is not a telephone line and cannot reach 911 or any emergency service. Aiko cannot dispatch help, cannot pass a call to an emergency operator, and cannot be relied on to recognise that a situation is an emergency.

Anyone with an urgent or life-threatening situation must hang up and dial 911 directly. Do not use Tasuku as the only way to reach you if people may contact your business in a crisis — in medical, mental health, safety or security work, Tasuku must sit alongside a human-answered route, not replace it.

4. What an AI receptionist can and cannot do

Your assistant is software. She will occasionally mishear a name, misunderstand a request, or answer a question imperfectly. She is a very good receptionist, and she is not a person.

Specifically:

You are responsible for reviewing your call summaries. We are not liable for business you lose because a message was misunderstood, garbled, or never acted on.

5. Fees, billing and cancellation

Subscriptions bill monthly in advance from the day you start, by credit card through Stripe. The setup fee is charged once, with your first payment. If a payment fails we will tell you and try again; if it stays unpaid we may suspend the service, and we will warn you before we do.

You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the month you have paid for. There is no minimum term, no cancellation fee, and nothing to negotiate your way out of. We do not refund part-months, and the setup fee is not refundable once the work is done. If we materially fail to deliver the service, contact us — we would rather sort out a refund than argue about a clause.

We may change prices with 30 days' notice by email. If a change does not suit you, cancel before it takes effect.

6. Phone numbers

We provide a phone number for your business, or work with the number you already have.

A number you brought to us stays yours, and we will help you port it away if you leave. A number we provided is registered to us while you subscribe; if you leave, we will make reasonable efforts to port it to you or your new provider, subject to the carrier rules that govern porting. Ask us before you build the number into your signage or advertising, so nobody is surprised later.

Number availability, porting timelines and carrier behaviour are not fully within our control.

7. Your responsibilities

8. Acceptable use

You may not use Tasuku to send unsolicited commercial messages, to mislead people about who they are dealing with, to conduct anything unlawful, to harass anyone, or to try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service. You may not resell it as your own without a written agreement with us.

You may not present your assistant as a human being. Telling callers she is a person, or configuring her to deny being an AI, ends this agreement immediately. It is the one line we will not discuss.

9. Your data

Your call records, recordings, transcripts and customer information are yours. We hold them to run the service for you and on your instructions. We do not sell them, and we do not let anyone use them to train AI models.

You choose how long we keep call data; the default is 12 months. You can ask for an export or a deletion at any time. When you cancel, we delete your call data on the retention schedule you set and keep only the account and tax records Canadian law requires.

The service itself — the software, the assistant design, our documentation — remains ours. We may use aggregated, anonymised statistics that identify neither you nor any caller to improve and describe the service.

10. Availability and support

We aim to keep Tasuku running all the time and we monitor it continuously, but we do not currently offer a contractual uptime guarantee, and we would rather say that than publish a number we have not yet earned the operating history to stand behind. The service depends on telephone carriers, internet providers and third-party AI services that are outside our control.

Support is by email at info@tasuku.ca and by phone at 343-308-9457 during business hours. Planned maintenance is scheduled outside business hours wherever possible and announced in advance when it will interrupt service.

11. Warranties and liability

We provide the service with reasonable skill and care. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, it is provided "as is": we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that Aiko will handle every call the way you would have.

Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost profits, lost business, lost goodwill — even if the possibility was mentioned. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer rather than a business, your statutory rights are unaffected.

12. Ending the agreement

You may cancel at any time, as described in section 5. We may end the agreement on 30 days' notice, or immediately if you breach these terms in a way you do not fix within 10 days of being asked, or immediately in the case of section 8.

When the agreement ends, your number stops being answered, so tell us where you want calls to go. Sections covering your data, liability and governing law survive.

13. Text message terms

These terms apply to anyone who exchanges text messages with Tasuku.

We may update these terms. For material changes affecting subscribers we will give at least 30 days' notice by email, and the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction, though we would much rather resolve a disagreement with a phone call.

If a provision turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the service.
